Research Questions

Haxor has created a set of criteria that we like to use to be able to ensure that we have a standardized set of information for every test. We use these guidelines to evaluate the quality of information provided in documentation and attempt to answer various questions regarding the ease of use of the application. Our Developer Experience studies try to answer these questions:

  • How clear are the instructions?
  • How easy is it to use the API?
  • How accurate is the documentation?
  • How satisfied are developers with the provided code examples?
  • How likely are developers to recommend this API to others?
  • How easy is it for developers to begin working with the software?
  • What paths do developers follow when attempting to build an application?
  • How well does the site support development within these selected paths? In other words, how closely does the organization and flow of the site match developers’ expectations?
  • What obstacles do developers encounter on the way to completing their application?
  • Are there any obstacles which vary for different environments?
  • What questions do developers ask as they build?
  • How do developers feel about how long it takes them to build an application? This includes both their perception of time and the number of steps it takes to complete a task.

How can we help?
